Elkezdődött a második trimeszter, az őszi, a fontos, meg ami jelzőt még lehet rá találni. Az őszi vizsgáink eredményén múlik, melyik egyetemre vesznek föl – nameg azon, mennyire tudunk összespanolni Tani tanárúrral, aki az ajánlóleveleket írja (legalábbis én így hallottam). Nekem ez utóbbi (remélem) nem fog gondot okozni, mert mint hallottam, filozófia a szakterülete, úgyhogy lenne miről beszélgetni. Az órákról: az első óra fő eseménye az első hét házifeladat-leckéből álló kanji teszt volt. Egy-kettő nem ugrott csak be (nagyjából kilencvenből), amivel azért elégedett vagyok. Holnap a második hétből lesz számonkérés, holnapután az utolsó kettőből. Volt ma olvasásértés is. Az időt is mérte a tanárnő (jófej nagyon), ahogy számolgattam utólag 120 és 180 írásjel per perc tempóban olvasok (tegnap a házinál is hasonló eredményeket kaptam). A közgáz óra arról szólt, hogy egy, a Todaion tanuló szingapúri felsőbbéves mesélt élményeiről meg elmondta, amit tudott és válaszolt a kérdéseinkre. Utána nagy nyugodtan hazajöttem, majd megnéztem, nem ma van-e kettőtől a pingpong, de holnap, úgyhogy fél hét körülig a már említett új blogdizájnnal játszottam. Akkor szólt Huyen, hogy hívta egy focizó vietnami srác, hogy nem vagyok ott és miért. Mentem, láttam, sokszor vesztettünk, néha nyertünk, rúgtam néhány gólt és hulla fáradtra futottam magam. Hazaérve tudatosult bennem, hogy ki van kapcsolva a bojler, ergo nincs meleg víz. Legalábbis nem sok. Úgyhogy a hajmosást kihagytam, pedig jól esett volna (nincs olyan hőség most). De a holnapi kanjigyakorlás muszáj, meg aztán korán le is kéne feküdni…

Homework by Vale
Now that's what i'm definitely not going to write about now. I think that i don't have any, except for those i'll have to do by next week, so now slacking. To be precise, doing webdesign (i'll show it upon request) and browsing last.fm. Today i bought some concert tickets. To be exact, four. Thus the schedule becomes: this saturday, a Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra (et al) concert on the Tokyo JAZZ 2009 Groove section (from 13:00 to 19:00). The next one is the Stratovarius gig in Kawasaki Club Citta—my first concert in Japan where i'm not going alone: Tung from Vietnam is coming as well (his' the fourth ticket). The last one i'm sure to attend will be a HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR gig in Shibuya's Lightroom. Knowing the band, this one will be a lot of fun as well. Can't wait!

Az idő, amit itt tudok tölteni. Egy kicsit zsúfolódok… Pénteken második óra alatt jött egy email a mitakai lelkésztől, meghívtak vacsorára. Hatig tanítás volt mondjuk nekünk, egy óra Tani tanárúrral, amiről még nem igazán derült ki (nekem), hogy tulajdonképpen mi, aztán egy matek, és végül egy közgáz. A matek kivételesen nem volt rossz, mert ugyan a koreaiak jó szokásukhoz híven öt perc alatt bemásolták az előre kidolgozott feladataikat (nem értem mi értelme van az órai feladatokat előre megcsinálni – így is, úgy is el kell vele tölteni az időt, és akkor már inkább órán, mint a szabadidőmben), kivételesen nekem is sikerült időben kivégeznem mindet (bár Motai tanárúr igencsak meglepődött, amikor egy bizonyítást kongruenciákkal oldottam meg – azon kevés dolgok egyike, amit sikerült a fejembe verniük az Eltén).
Utána a közgáz meg igencsak kaotikus volt. Filozófus tanárunk ugyanis kitalálta, hogy ő belemegy a szavak etimológiájába, és kijelentette hogy a (köz)gazdaság(tan) (economy) és az ökológia (ecology) ugyanaz. Láthatóan nem értette meg, amikor felolvastam neki a szótárgép angol-angoljából a két definíciót, de erről még egyszer majd írok neki, ha lesz hangulatom és időm. Meg (a többiek látható értetlenségének ellenére) sikerült őt elterelnem filozófiába (valami amiről talán még tudok is beszélni), amikor Marx materializmusánál bedobtam neki Feuerbach nevét.

Not Black, though music. On saturday i managed to wake up in time, so i got there in time to my first concert in the autum term (秋学期), a jazz festival in the Tokyo Forum, to be precise, its Groove part. The reason for me going was without question the concert of the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, a fantastic japanese ska-jazz group. There were three more performances as well, two more or less traditional jazzish ones and one i couldn't categorize—but more about that later.
The Tokyo Ska was fantastic, and fantastic, and fantastic (apparently lost for words, i am), just to mention a bad point as well: short. Not a whole hour, i'm afraid. But the quality and the atmosphere worth it. All. They played a lot of songs i knew and a couple i didn't, and i got to like them, their style and their music even more.
About the others: Abraham Laboriel, who played together with Akira Jimbo was precisely how i'd imagine a traditional black jazz musician. Fantastic style. They were visibly playing for fun, and that's great. The second ones, John Scofield and the accompanying band… the music was great, but the feel was missing. Then the last, George Clinton and the Parliament / Funkadelic. That was crazy. I didn't really like it, though i enjoyed it (paradox)… Very tribal, very chaotic, very difficult to enjoy, very strange. Somehow the kind of performance i can imagine from rastafarian jamaicans to do after smoking a 2g ganja per person. Not really my type.
Then i came home, though i listened for a few minutes to a jazz band playing in front of the Forum on some Japan-Netherlands something, they were really peaceful after the all too long (almost two hours, gosh) Clinton performance.
At home the usual: we grabbed a few beers with Rado and sat down talking with the others, eating fruits as well and stuff like that. Got to bed around three…

コーヒー中毒者 by Vale
～になるかもしれない。 Péntek óta ugyanis durván háromszorosára nőtt (vasárnap kivételével) a kávébevitelem, a reggeli egy mellett most már délután is belefér egy dupla főzés a termoszba… Tartott ez mind máig, mert ma már szigorú elhatározással korán lefekszek, hogy ki tudjam aludni magam. Úgyis hulla fáradt leszek, mert fél héttől foci van, addig meg kvázi folyamatosan tervezek tanulni, ami azért minden tekintetben ki fog nyírni (remélhetőleg). Ma lenne este ugyanott a Silver Elephantban megint Progressive live koncert, többek között a TEE szereplésével, de nagyon bizonytalan vagyok, hogy vajon a foci éri-e meg jobban, vagy hogy háromezer jent elverek a koncertre, ami amúgy valószínűleg nagyon színvonalas és pofátlanul hangos lenne… Az a baj, hogy az igenember filozófiája ilyen eldöntendő kérdésekben nem működik… Érv a koncert mellett, hogy idén már biztos nem lesz ilyen, plusz foci minden héten van, érv a foci mellett, hogy nagyon jól esik. A koncerten mondjuk össze tudnék haverkodni néhány néppel, mert last.fm-en
barátoklettünk a TEE gitárosával (és elég felismerhető a profilképem), meg lesz egy európai banda is (hogy azok hogy kerülnek ide…). De még a testmozgáshoz: tegnap este lementem egy órára a kondiba, azóta is sajognak a két éve nem edzett karjaim… holnap meg ugye pingpong (a mai edzés suliidőben, délelőtt volt), az utánra meg a kötelező tanulás beiktatásával (és a gitáróra, ha lesz, múlt héten nem volt) (amíg még nem tompulok el) este levezetésképpen még egy óra kondi, mert az úgy jó (meg megkaptam a Balatonon hogy mi az, hogy a
zorall fejemhezilyen gizda vagyok). Majd kiderül, hogy lesz.
