Right now i’m reading John Milton’s Paradise Lost (in hungarian this time, but i’ve asked my sister to buy me the english version – right now she’s in england). I risk saying it’s the third best book i’ve ever read (the first two being Tolkien’s Silmarillion and Richard Bach’s Illusions). Just as a side note i tell you that the previous third one was the sixth Harry Potter book.

So it’s really good. Though it’s hard to read because it’s using old phrases and sentence structures that are hard to understand, it’s still very interesting and fascinating.

For all you didn’t know before, i’ll tell the story up to the point i’m at right now. Satan and his companions were exiled from Heaven and founded Hell and built it’s capitol, Pandemonium. They held a counsel about what should they do:

  • try battling Heaven again with a head-on attack
  • the same as the previous, except with a sneak attack
  • wait and get stronger

In the end, none of these was chosen, but rather Satan left for the recently created Earth to see “the creature that enjoys His blessings just as we did” and corrupt him. I’ve read until here as of now, but i want to finish a few more chapters today, it’s so good.
