All right writing again from Chicago, hope not bored alrady!

There are some strange stuff. For example, american people wear their shoes even inside the house. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had shower in their shoes too. Joking. Then, on the bus it was interesting that you could request stop by pulling a string that runs over the windows. I guess that’s pretty much like how it used to be many decades ago… Also, if it’s traffic, it’s quite unusual that their index light is actually the flashing brake light. Or quite much looks like. Strange. It’s also interesting how many iPods and such stuff one can see all the time. Every second person’s having an iPod in their pockets listening to music, or having a portable dvd player they watch movies on while travelling on the subway. And… what else. It’s how inactive a life they live. Just sitting in the park whole afternoon doing nothing just talking. Now i wrote it down it seems fun, but then, after a many-hour-long sightseeing trip and another hours of travelling by train and on foot, it was kind of even more tiring, so my eyes feel like they are glued.

Today we had to go on the first part of the first class with our parners, in my case it was something related to literature, when they/we were learning about rhetorical devices, like metaphors, anaphors, synecdoche (or however that’s spelled correctly), and their relatives. Familiar with them, just funny to hear the english names, and the american students trying to pronounce those greek words. Hard to keep from laughing.

Then, we had an architectural sightseeing tour, which was somewhat interesting, but meanwhile very long and very tiring. Then we had a short break in the nearby Millenium Park, then just headed back to school. After our partners finished school we went to that Buckingham fountain or whatever, you know, the one (as a friend of mine pointed that out for me) you can see in the opening sequence of Love and Marriage. After that came home, ate hot dog made of hamburger bums and then had a good talk, ate an apple and here i am. See ya tomorrow.
