Laymen’s rough translation of Newton’s first law is “an object at rest wants to stay at rest”. I wonder if Newton was aware of just how well this applies not only to inanimate objects, but living creatures too (me included).

Just standing up to grab some water or to pick up a book from the other side of the room sometimes proves to be too much of a challenge, as I slowly turn into an amorph blob (but at least idle). That would be all right if I had unlimited time to be lazy, but that’s sadly not the case.

Point is: give me batteries to run on, because I’m short on energy.
