Today I got leave for the morning to go to Comiket (that’s right). I’ll write about it more in detail later, but there was one thing that totally caught me off guard.
I was already on the way outside when I spotted someone waving a huge, and visibly old Japanese flag. Considering how rare it is to see such a thing, I listened to them talking about what it was and posted a photo on Twitter. Then hell broke loose.
I didn’t get it what my phone was buzzing about all the time, so I just ignored it. By the time I got to the train station to catch my ride home, it was already near a thousand retweets and favorites. Note: that walk didn’t take ten minutes.
It didn’t stop there though. My nipples notifications exploded with delight as the retweets just kept coming on and on, with an occasional reply stuck inbetween. At this point the numbers are still climbing, with RTs nearing 7k and favs around 4k.
Seeing your photo on Japanese 2ch/twitter aggregatot blogs feels weird.
