The internet’s been on fire with the news of Burger King’s limited burger in Japan. It’s not everyday that junk food gets such attention, but this time there was a good reason to it.
As its name, KURO suggests, it’s black. Really. Bamboo char and squid ink are used to make it black, and the meat is heavy with black pepper too. These are the defining parts of its taste too, the smokiness and the pepper.
The Diamond sandwich has veggies in it that are (thankfully) not black, while the Pearl one is pitch black without veggies. Taste-wise they are basically the same.
If you happen to be in Japan, this is definitely worth checking out. Not everyday does one get to eat actually black burgers.
