Had a huge breakfast at the hotel since we were up to a 6-7 hour drive.

The drive was at first just bumpy, but once we hit the dirt, the dust got really bad too (and of course bumpy).

We had lunch late when we arrived in Askole, the last village. Then we checked in to the national park (one more super meaningful paper to sign) and shortly arrived at the campsite (at around 3100m).

Everything and everyone is covered in fine dust. Brings back Aconcagua memories. Our chef is from Argentina too so we share stories. Let’s hope my nose handles the dust better this time.

There were a few moments of light rain along the day, but it didn’t wash the dust away, just made everything a little wet so the dust can stick better.
