I also received in yesterday’s package the new album of my other favourite band, Blind Guardian. It’s titled A Twist in the Myth. Let me tell you, it rocks.

Very well built, composed and presented songs, with good old Blind Guardian-level hit songs like Fly or Skalds and Shadows, but – unlike the new Maiden – there are no songs that are “less good”, so to say.

A few lines above i wanted to list the songs that i like, and those two mentioned there were the first that came into my mind, but then as i looked at the tracklist and revived my memories of each of the songs i realised that there are no songs that are not outstandingly good. There’s only a bit of difference in their outstanding rate. All has amazing music ideas and good lyrics too (though they are a bit hard to follow even with the official textbook), not to mention those lines (this part is composed of the previous two’s perfect harmony) that immediately catch you and won’t let you go until you listen to it a million times.

This album receives a great, excellent, 100%, 5*, A++ and everything like that grade! A must-have for everyone!
