Now working on a philosophy essay, i’ve found the correct way to construct my blog from the next version on. This concept is not a structural concept, so you won’t be seeing any huge changes in the blog itself, only the names will be different. I wonder if you could figure out, which phrase inspired me… (!!!) (A little help: i’m writing about how P. T. du Chardin managed to merge evolution with religion.)
A few gigs
I’m thinking about which concerts to visit in the near future. There’s a nice couple of those that seem fun, and there’ll only be more and more. I’ve found a Rage, a Kamelot, a finnish pagan gig, a Pannonia All Stars Ska Orchestra one, just to name a few. These are the ones, which i’m not sure if i’ll visit or not. But there’s three other where you’ll be sure to find me: the Nightwish this wednesday, the Iron Maiden on the zeroth day of the Sziget fest, and maybe i’ll also accompany my love to Avril’s concert too. Naturally the only limit is my budget, which is definitely (sadly) not infinite. Still, i’m sure i’ll have a nice bunch of great experiences this year, i’m sure (in addition to the remaining three final exams in may and june, of which i’m dead afraid, as of yet).
Notice
The Scarecrow is even better than i thought. And i thought it was amazing soon as the first vocals of Twisted Mind reached my brain’s auditory cortex (that phrase i stole from a wiki, i guess no surprise). But there are songs simply addictive, so much that i fear i’ll be listening to this album for so long that i’ll get bored with it. Hope not. I mean, i hope i won’t get bored with it. I have no problem with listening to the same stuff for ages.
Test
I usually don’t like to take personality tests, because they return far too general or incorrect results, but PersonalDNA‘s test, that Balázs mentioned, is different, what it says about me is mostly correct. Interesting.
Now come (my child)
Credits for that title go to whomsoever i quoted. I have no idea who that is… So. Today still i have a few press- and sit-ups to do, then i’ll be off reading and playing Trivial Pursuit with my family. Apropos “my”. Today walking home i once again started thinking how strange the possessive structure was eg in the Lord’s Prayer. Remember? “Our Father, which art in Heaven…” The strange thing is that this structure implies that the “Father” is “ours”, even though actually its understood exactly the other way. “We” are the “Father’s”. Strange…
Full
Yesterday that great gig, today going to church, then having a great lunch, then delicious sweets, now working on the plugin system for the blog engine. Although a bit tired, still feeling great.
Today
I’m surprised that i couldn’t find another blogpost with this very title… i would’ve thought i’d written at least six of these “Today”‘s… Well, not. Beside having downloaded To-mera’s Transcendental album, i’ve done nothing special. If you’re their lawyer, don’t be afraid, i’ll be buying it too, i just wanted to try it out first. By the way, once again listening to the 10 minute playlist (revisited). Finally managed to solve that url problem (replacing accented characters with their ascii pairs), and was scared to see what was the problem: Dreamweaver simply didn’t save it in the UTF-8 format i presumed. SciTE did the job. Now nothing can stop me in making that new blog engine—which is yet unnamed. We’ve had a family trip out to the mountains, giving me a chance to drive (and rallye) on mountain roads, which is great fun. Also, now after having a licence for about half a year, i did my first overtaking. I enjoy acceleration.
Job
Today my employer told me that i shouldn’t expect any bigger jobs in the coming times, only if i have about 40-60 workhours a week. Beside school. Nice joke. So, i’m open to any requests that i can do. My design skills are not the best, but at least i can code php. Minor jobs i’ll probably do for free, but it’d be the best if i got some bucks in exchange. If you really need that, i could also do a CV for you and show my references. I’m a freelance webcoder.
Italy
Now, this news is just hilarious. My God, inadvertently legalizing file sharing! Where does this world go if even laws could be passed without anyone professional reading them? Not as if it’d be such a serious problem for me, that in Italy now anyone could download virtually anything, since the law only says that the sharing should be for educational or scientific purposes, in lowered qualiy. But, as you may know, mp3 and jpg, the most popular file formats on the net are both not lossless formats, so they are in “lowered quality”, thus free to share. Fun. Europe seems to be against music companies—considering what great bands there are here, this could seem surprising, but their music is great anyway.
No idea
I have so much to do. I’ve to update hell a lot of pages for a job, have to learn a lot of stuff and also read a book by next thursday. The problem lies not in reading the book, but choosing which book it should be. I have two candidates, one Queen Loana by Eco and the other Slaughterhouse Five by Vonnegut. Just as a side note, i’m readig a third book now too, Enigma for a Sunday by Ignacio Cárdenas Acuña, which i accidentally stumbled upon last week in the library.
