Whatever

There is a very interesting state of mind, usually of those who could smell the feet of death by their heads. If anyone interested, it’s called apathy. It could be best described as… well, as being totally uninterested in everything. Literally.

There is an other state of mind, that i myself am in in the past week. Akin to apathy, i’m like “whatever” all the time. Not that i’m not interested, i’m just tired to respond. Why bother? So… consider this post a great thing.

HoNeY

I’d like to wish everyone a happy new year. Oh sorry, New Year. I haven’t made any new year’s resolutions this year. Yet. Maybe i will, but i couldn’t make up any now. Should i do a summary of the past year?

Well. I managed to get my driving license, passed the advanced english exam and scored fine on two finals. That’s nice. My main resolution for last year was that i shouldn’t be so crazy with parties. It really did disturb me that in ’06 we had far too many such parties that were far wilder than they should’ve been. Last year naturally i had my hangover-practise every now and then, but it was much better. I felt better. Well… I just feel like that the past year was great. Loads of great gigs (just to mention a few: two HammerFalls, a Helloween+Gamma Ray one, a Dream Theater and an Apocalyptica), two great trips abroad (to germany in the summer and to the states in the autumn), got a job, and even more great things hard to sum up. See you many times this year too!

Yesterday

…was simply terrible. Something caught me, some illness or whatever. The result was that almost all day i lay in my room hardly moving, in the better times reading the earlier mentioned book. I managed to finish it by the afternoon, don’t ask me how.

By the way, i was really scared that i couldn’t go out tonight with my friends—they called me yesterday too, just to lure me in, but i was like “man, i’ve fever, i feel sick, don’t wanna”. So, that was it.

Luckily it seems that a night’s sleep managed to purge me of that thing (what a funny choice of verb, considering that i didn’t eat anything yesterday after nine in morning)—now this reminded me of that conceptual fish that made Eric Sanderson so ill in Aunt’s hotel (Willow hotel).

Happiness

For a long time, tonight, while reading Either/Or, i first felt something that vaguely resembles happiness. It was just a misty impression, a distant echo of a happy cry, but still a good feeling. I think i will start swimming again—back when i was doing it regularly, after arriving home late, hungry and tired, i could really feel happy. But since long, my happiness is bittersweet.

Feat

From now on, there will be a featured post on the sidebar. When i don’t select one myself, it’s random. Have fun reading!

Sri Lanka

The Christmas present i received from my sister is that she bought a drip irrigation system for a Sri Lankan family through greatgifts.org. This reminded me of a dream i had one night, in which i saw the map of greater Hungary, or rather the north-eastern part of it, with the galician part (and souther regions) also visible. The only thing that’s now strage (though then naturally it was not), that there were a couple of flags present there, as if indicating something. Well, there were a number of Sri Lankan flags too (i could only remember those, so there must’ve been many of them), which is surprising, considering that Sri Lanka is on the other side of the globe…

Wish

I’d like to wish everyone merry Christmas with all the great things it brings along. The celebrations of the birth of Jesus Christ, the fantastic dinners, the families staying together in love, and… and… so, everything. I hope you all will have a great Christmas.

Realise

I’m not good at writing Christmas greetings. I’ve written a few today, for people who i can only contact through e-letters, so that i could be sure that everyone gets and reads it in time. I still should write one, but i think i’ll only do that tomorrow.

This sounded like it’s a must for me, but nope, not a burden at all. Lately i’ve been wishing everyone merry Christmas in stores when i leave. Just makes me feel good.

Angel of Destruction

This piece is simply wonderful.

Hurts

Today i had that presentation about the languages of japan. I think it wasn’t bad, though naturally it wasn’t half as good as the chaos-theory one. That (would’ve) rocked (if the projector’d worked). I’m considering posting a revised text of both, just in case someone’s interested.

Also, today i’m working on PayPal integration into that engine i’ve been talking about earlier. If that’s done, only the layout and few minor fixes will be left.

And then, what hurts? Today we’ve been playing soccer on sports, but i didn’t have my sports stuff there (it’s at home for cleaning—well rathermore for sterilizing, it was almost living so dirty), so i played in my casual shoes, and once i slipped and fell on my left knee badly, the same way i fell on my right a few weeks ago on that gig. I can only hope this will heal more quickly.
