I wonder why is that, that as soon as i finish my work and in my totally exhausted, tired state want to talk to any of my friends online, they are Away. Is that also a Murphy-law? No problem, then i will work on till they return. I have a couple of things to do anyway…
Comparative linguistics
First of all, i have to say that i only write this post in english because i’m in america now, and simply feel like that. I just want to write about some things that i realised, that most probably doesn’t really stand on any scientific foundation, maybe only unconsciously, since i’m not at all, or very basicly into the fields of linguistics, though this science really interests me—i think everyone who knows me knows that i’m a maniac language learner—and i’m seriously thinking about placing linguistics in front of programming informatics in my university application queue.
Last but not least
Today was our last day when we had classes at Payton. Lucky as i am, i had my two favourites, those i had most of the time, AP lang and spanish. It was just… to be honest, like all the other schooldays. Except for that little patch in my subconscience, that i didn’t dare to touch, the one that had “this is your last day here” written on it. So i payed attention, and tried to enjoy these classes as much as i could. Then we had an hour to spare, then heading out for the Art Institute. I’d gladly have spent a whole day there, though i’m usually not really into watching paintings and such.
Untitled
Yesterday was nice. I won’t write pages about it: in the morning we went to the Mexican Art Museum and saw an exhibit about the Día de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, which was really interesting. After that we went to a Nuevo Leon restaurant to have lunch. Then a short shopping, and an even shorter rest before we went over to the neighbours for a dinner party. In the night we’ve been to a theatre play, or i don’t know if it’s appropriate to call it a concert, so a Blue Man Group performance. I liked it, though i can’t resist comparing it to the Neo-Futurist play, so i’ve to say that the latter was better. So, it was fun and interesting and entertaining and everything, but not so much that i’d like to go see it again.
Days
… pass like minutes.
Far
Today was good, for short.
Ring-ring
It wasn’t really nice of me to not to write yesterday after writing such a short nothing on monday. The main reasons were: it was late, i was tired, and it was also a pretty eventless day.
Nothing
Today we went to the Adler Planetarium, after attending (in my case) a spanish and a literature class, then back to school, bought tickets for the Blue Man Show or whatever that play is, came home and did nothing. It wasn’t that super-eventful day—maybe tomorrow. Tomorrow, if the forecast is correct, it will be raining, so Navy Pier maybe won’t be that much fun, but i hope it’ll still be alright. Maybe i’ll buy myself or others some stuff.
Saturation at 100%
Today was interesting but i’m just a bit fed up now, literally.
Chef
Yesterday evening was great.
