Monday night (Japan time) I ordered something (more details later) online from Britain. To be honest, I didn’t expect it to arrive for weeks, since I picked the cheapest shipping method.
All the more surprised I was when just a few minutes later I got a notification from FedEx that my package was registered, and that it’s bound to arrive in Tokyo today. That’s two days and a bit.
Let’s just say that I was a tad skeptical they could keep their promise, except the next morning when I woke up the package was already in Paris, and yesterday it landed in Delhi. Then this morning the tracking page told me that it’s not only arrived in Japan, but was already dispatched for delivery.
Then just now when I was having my (late) lunch, I could see the FedEx guy pass in front of my window (though he failed to find my door).
They actually did it. I can’t not compare this to how it takes the same amount of time for PayPal to transfer funds to my bank account.
