After i woke up at Yoshika, i again headed off for the Chiraumi park. The day before i didn’t see any of the water shows or the aquarium, but this day too my first priority was to make it to the beach. I wanted to enjoy it as much as possible in that day, because i had no way to be sure that i’ll have any more good weather. The view was spectacular…

… and the beach was just as a bright white-sanded tropical beach as one could be.

The park itself too was quite a sight, even more then in sunshine than in the cloudiness of the day before. From the entrance gate (entry free of charge, impressive!) one could see far, all the way to the island over the sea.

At the main square midway down the stairs, where the information pavilion and such central buildings are located, was a huge shark out of bushes, with a ladder in the back so kids could climb onto the back of it to take pictures.

On the way to the beach i was lucky that the dolphin show just started, so i could see most of it. And take pictures of course, though the dolphins are hardly visible thanks to the brightness control of the phone’s camera…

Then i spent my day lying in the sand, occasionally cooling myself with a brief swim in the sea. Then as the sun began to fade behind the clouds…

… i decided to pack my stuff and head for the aquarium. It was just as aquariums usually are, nothing ground-breaking, but that time in the deep blue light really is really a peaceful, relaxed memory.

I guess the rain passed while i was inside, because when i headed back to Yoshika it was clear, stars glittering above. Had dinner at a restaurant midway, then talked with the Yoshika guys on the roof of the building till late…
