My plans now, once again (and i think not the last time). Books: finish The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco; Confessions by Saint Augustine, the third and fourth piece of the Narnia series, the three Theban plays of Sophocles, Eclogae by Vergilius and Jailbird by Kurt Vonnegut. Also, i want to buy Harry Potter 7 (The Deathly Hallows) as soon as it’s out, which is due sometime this summer, 21st July, to be exact. Can’t wait. Others: learn german and programming in Pascal by autumn, become pro in literature, history, philosophy and japanese by next spring, get a driving licence this summer, learn PHP to its very last bit, so that i can get some jobs related to it. I also want to rewrite the blog engine from the very bottom (yeah, once again), but i promise you won’t see a single bit of that until it’s totally and fully complete. It’ll be a lot better than the current one, which means it’ll be faster, better coded and more secure. Not to mention, finished.

There are some other things, more recent and of a bit higher importance in my life now, for example, learning the literature of the middle ages and doing my maths homework. Yeah, i’d appreciate if someone said “be happy until you don’t have any more serious problems”.

(Just as a side note, i tell everyone this is the first scheduled post in the blog (finished at 18:56. I hope it’ll work out as expected.)

Kis zöld takony

Semmiség. Csak rájöttem, hogy a bejegyzés szövegébe nem tudnám értelmesen beleszerkeszteni a “kis zöld takony” kifejezést, ezért adtam címnek… Ennyi.

Amúgy tegnap is jó kis napom volt. Meg ne kérdezze valaki, mit csináltam egész nap, merthogy fogalmam sincs róla. Azonkívül, hogy a StarCraft II nyilvánossá váló videói, képei és egyéb infói körül zizegtem, azt hiszem, semmi lényegeset nem is sikerült tennem… Este mondjuk elmentem úszni, dehát az igazán nem nevezhető lényegesnek – bár az igaz, hogy ezúttal majdnem sikerült végigúsznom víz alatt a medencét egy levegővel.

Ma pedig… Azonkívül, hogy reggel természetesen ellenőriztem az újabb infómorzsákat az egyetlen játékkal kapcsolatban, amivel fogok játszani az elkövetkező pár évben (a WarCraft III mellett, természetesen – most is ezt fogom tenni, multiban LAN-on), még délután meg kell tanulnom a középkor irodalmát, és azért az ókor végét is át kéne olvasni még egyszer, mert az nem maradt meg annyira.

Amúgy pedig most kint voltunk focizni meg pingpongozni. Jól le is izzadtam, egy kis szerencsével barnultam is, de minden esetre jól esett. Az egyik “karkötőmnek” (a tavalyi Wan2 belépő) viszont kezd hányásszaga lenni így fürdés után, úgyhogy le lesz vágva…

Finally, the news i’ve been waiting for many years now… StarCraft II is officially announced. This one’s shocking. Naturally Blizzard has not announced an official debut date yet, but some sites (unofficially) claim that the game will come out on the 20th of November.

I’ve seen the images, i’ve seen the trailer movie, and all i can say is that just as WarCraft III, or rather say, just as all Blizzard strategies as of yet reformed the RTS genre, StarCraft II will also follow that path and become a game everyone knows about, in the matter of seconds after it’s debut.

On the game’s IGN page, one can find 30 high quality pictures and a three minute long (!) video of the game, and a report from the scene. How to say, it’s… well, to quote Monty Python, “it’s…” Or if you want me to continue the sentence so badly: it’s perfect. A new, 3D graphics engine displays the game. Everyone knows, that i’m not very sensitive about the graphics of a game, but this one really rocks. I couldn’t say anything bad about it. The explosions, the battles, the units, the nukes, everything is designed in the quality expected from Blizzard.

Végül is úgy döntöttem, hogy ma még nem ejtem meg azt, amiről írtam, inkább majd holnap, úszás után. Éppen ezért ma még az e heti Bleach részt se néztem meg, csak a Narutot, meg most még szerintem megnézek néhány Samurai Champloo-t – ez utóbbiról anno annak idején eF`k3_ anime oldalán olvastam, megtetszett, nemrégiben letöltöttem, és mostanában kezdtem el nézni. A Narutoban nem sok történés esett, bár ettől függetlenül nem volt unalmas, egyáltalán, csak épp az előző részekben megkezdett csatákat folytatták. Tudom, hogy miért húzzák ennyire, de akkor is azért sírok, hogy legyen már egy kicsit sűrűbb. Mert így híg a leve, pedig valójában nagyon jó.

Ezenkívül olvastam egy nagyon jó hírt is, bár ez még közel sem olyan fontosságú, mint az, amit holnap várok, viszont a jövőmre való kihatásban sokkal lényegesebb, bár világtörténelmi szempontból talán nem olyan jelentős, mint a másik. Találó volt a világtörténelem szó használata, ugyanis pont erről van szó. Talán néhányan közületek, akik talán már régebben is olvastak, elmékeznek, hogy írtam róla, hogy szeretnék japánba menni egyetemistának. Ma egyrészt arra jöttem rá, hogy nem kell feltétlenül meglennie már az érettségi bizonyítványomnak a jelentkezéshez, ami azt jelenti, hogy már jövő tavasszal jelentkezhetek, ami 2009-es japánbeli tanévkezdést fog jelenteni jobb esetben; másrészt pedig arról kaptam egy nagyon örömteli felvilágosítást, hogy az idéntől kezdve a felvételiben (merthogy ennek az ösztöndíjnak feltétele a japán MEXT által megszabott vizsga letétele) nem szerepel a világtörténelem – ez volt az egyetlen, amitől féltem. Most már semmi nem állíthat meg, csak az érettségik legyenek majd meg. Legyen már jövőre!

Don’t worry, this one won’t be in japanese. I decided to write only limited amount of japanese and german posts, for two reasons: one, i’m not good enough in these languages to write full-blown, long posts, and two, i hate to use those online translator applications, which i have to use if i want to write more than i can.

Anyway. If anyone remembers what i wrote about my plans on how to spend an eve, then i can provide “good” news: everything seems to be tending towards that outcome, though nothing is sure yet.

Also, as it’s usual nowadays, i spent my almost whole afternoon in the library with my fellow japanese-loving friends (the remaining part i spent with my best friends hanging out here and there), so, as it’s usual nowadays, i arrived home around half past six, and as it’s usual nowadays, i sat down here to write something interesting. It’s failing, i already see.

I decided not to work a single bit today, rather only watch anime and listen to music. If i feel like, i will also read… most probably the you-know-what or the Bible. I want to read the latter in whole once. The anime in my plans include the latest episodes of Bleach (last) and Naruto (first), and Samurai Champloo (between). The word in braces mean the order i’ll watch them in.

Oh, and wait for tomorrow. Great news shall arise. Also, today one more post will be done, according to my plans…

A változatosság kedvéért ma is nagyon jó napom volt. A bejegyzés címe arra utal, hogy most, kb fél perc alatt, megcsináltam a kommentekre való válaszolás lehetőségét, tehát mostmár működik a kommentek fejlécében lévő “Reply” link. Ennyi is volt mostanában az összes fejlesztés, még csiszoltam ráadásképpen a formázáson is egy kicsit, de nem sokat. A mosolyok (gyk smiley-k) támogatása is hamarosan érkezik, a regisztrációval és (tudom, tudom) a podcasttel egyetemben. Ó bárcsak, ó bárcsak (sóhajt a fakopáncs, a kéreg a fán lenne puhább – de nem, ez most nem a Stanley, a szerencse fia, ez Vale blogja) hosszabbak lennének a napok vagy legalább én megtanulnám normálisan beosztani az időmet…

私はこれを先週火曜日書きました。

今日は休みの日ですから、私はたった九時ごろ起きました。来週火曜日に私は七時に起きたり、朝ごはんを食べたり、学校に行きます。三時ごろまで学校で勉強したり、昼ごはんを食べます。そして図書館に行きます。図書館で日本語を勉強します。今も日本語を勉強しています。私は五時ごろに友と会って、一生に帰ります。そして私は家で勉強したり、ウンベルト・エーコの本を読んだり、ご飯を食べます。そして洗いて休みます。

Stravinsky

Before anyone ask, i don’t want to write about Stravinsky, i simply found it a bit annoying, that one of my contacts signed on with the name Igor Fjodorovič Stravinski (sic). No, the problem is not that he borrowed the name of that genius russian composer, the problem is, that this way i don’t have the slightest idea who he was. I mean, that contact, not Stravinsky. I indeed have a bit more contacts than i should have, simply because in “ancient times”, once or twice, i was invited into huge “convo” chats, which means there was a lot of people, and i added too many of them. Haven’t talked to the most ever since. Anyway, luckily Trillian allows me to rename my contacts, so as soon as i figure out who that Stravinski was, i’ll give him a name that i recognise.

Anyway, i haven’t worked on the blog today, even though i should’ve. I instead worked on a kinda more important project, that i should’ve finished for half a year now – and to be honest, now i really think i’m close to opening it.

Gosh. I just realised i still have loads to learn… For example, the whole history of ancient greek literature. Fun. I think i won’t sleep much this night…

Még mindig. Úgy örülök neki… Este hét van, jó sötét, az ég lázas zöldessárga, dörög, villámlik, fúj a szél és esik. Lehet, hogy én vagyok valami káoszszerető figura (merthogy ez a díszlet igencsak zavarodott, szürreális látványt nyújt), de ez nagyon tetszik, legyen még ilyen. Arról nem is beszélve, amit anno kettővel ezelőtt németül írtam. És új avatarom van.
