Nem vesztem el

Nem vesztem el. Csak szombat délutántól ma reggelig nem volt netem (megint). A három Sherlock részt azóta nagyjából fejből tudom, megnéztem a tavalyi Guy Ritchie-féle filmet is, de ha már úgyis benne voltam a filmnézésben, nekiestem és megnéztem a Fantastic Mr Foxot és a Where the Wild Things are-t is. Ez volt a szombati része. Vasárnap egész nap a Toradora! című animét néztem, egy nap alatt ledaráltam mint a 25 részt. Este kondi után meg még elkerekeztem (mondtam már, hogy megtaláltam a biciklim kulcsát?) a “közeli” kombinibe kinyomtatni a vízumigényléshez elvileg szükséges jegyet.

Ma reggel aztán nagyjából másfél óra alvás után (három előtt lefeküdtem ugyan aludni, nagyon sokáig csak forgolódtam) keltem és indultam Oszakába a kínai konzulátusra. Amit elsőre eltévesztettem, mert persze hogy a honlapjukon az útmutatás valami eldugott oktatási irodához vezetett. Azért megtaláltam, odaértem, beadtam, majd Okinawa után megyek érte meg fizetem ki. Végül a jegy se kellett, direkt rákérdeztem pedig. Ez volt a délelőtt.

Délután próbáltunk, vagy négy óra hosszat megállás nélkül, aztán kajáltunk egy jót – én meg mihelyt hazaértem szó szerint eldőltem és aludtam egy jó másfél órát. Utána próbáltam életre kelni a kondiban (sikertelenül) majd próbáltam a tavaszi felmérés hét és fél perces ezerötjét javítani, de még ez se sikerült (pont ugyanannyi lett).

Amúgy sincs jó hangulatom, a Toradora valahogy megviselt, pedig jó volt, de ez a futós élmény totál levert. Úgyhogy inkább nem is írok a filmekről s egyebekről amiket láttam-éltem a hétvégén, csak remélem, hogy holnapra valahogy helyreállok és neki merek majd állni. Balra el.

This one was messy. We realised that something was amiss when both the ts raw and the subtitle script from that ended in the middle of the episode. Meaning, roughly half of the raw was missing. Nevertheless, i did my translation of that part, then it was just waiting, hoping there was someone else recording too so that there will be a raw, any raw available that we could use. Luckily, there was.

So now both torrent and download of the english fansub of Digimon Xros Wars episode 03 is available at OnlineDigimon. Check it out, it’s worth it. There’s a nice bunch of fighting, my favourite Dorulumon shows up again and MadLeomon makes his return as well. So do the other humans, although i bet Taiki and the others expected some other kind of greeting from the other Generals. Watch it already!

The english subtitled second episode of Digimon Xros Wars is out at OnlineDigimon. I hurried with the translation as much as possible, but with editing and encoding and all the stuff it ended up being released just today. There’s torrent and direct download available as well as a discussion thread at OnlineDigimon.

The title of the episode is “Shoutmon, roar!” (シャウトモン、吠える). It’s really worth checking out, as “ep 02” ended up quite dramatic for a second episode. Watch it and you’ll know!

Ma megvolt az utolsó zh könyvelésből. Az első két zh 30 pontos volt, ezeken sikerült 12 és 14 pontot szereznem. Úgyhogy most az utolsó 40 pontos elég szoros lett. 34 pont kellett, hogy egyáltalán átmenjek. (60 ponttól kettes.) Szokásomtól eltérően tanultam. Háromszor is átolvastam az anyagot, addig kotlottam mindenen, amíg megértettem (nagyjából), ennek eredményeképpen meglepően jól ment a mai. Még a megoldásokat is megmondták rögtön utána. Volt egy igen szemét rész, amit direkt szó szerint bemagoltattak, erre összekeverték. Elszállt hat pont, meg a lélegzetem is, mert még egy hiba és bukó. De ha a jelölőlapon nem rontottam valamit el, akkor átmentem.

Ma nem reggeliztem, mert nem tűnt fel tegnap, hogy elfogyott a gabonapehely, meg időm se volt… Aztán a zh előtt meg nem volt kedvem nagyot kajálni, mert attól elálmosodok, úgyhogy ma eddig egy onigirit és egy Snickerst ettem. És még annyira éhes se vagyok…

Meg befejeztem a Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhoodot, ezt is elég gyorsan kinyírtam. Majd írok róla. Meg elkészültünk a Digimon Xros Wars második részének angol feliratával, ha iMon felébred majd OnlineDigimonra is kihírezi, én nem tudom, hogy kell az olyat.

After a quite long while i once again ended up in a fansub team, this time translating the new Digimon series, Xros Wars. The first episode is is available for download at OnlineDigimon with english subtitles. For now 720p torrent and direct download is available, with streaming and the 1080p coming as soon as possible. Raptr and i did the translations, (a bit too) many other people did the other jobs. I really hate Nene’s Monitormon in the end with their serious speech defects (聞き取り不能). If you haven’t seen the first Digimon episode since Savers, or just need the english subs, check it out!

On Digimon

There are a few things that aren’t connected to any of the series, or rather are connected to all of them. I won’t care about spoilers, so you be careful.

I remember only fragments of the first season, Adventure… It was ages ago, watching it after school in german on RTL2. The kids were so many. Nine-ten? And they were so kids.

I guess it must’ve been hard for the writers to create a storyline where they could fit in all the characters, develop all of them well and still stay entertaining. Probably that’s why the two youngsters of Adventure come back in 02. In 02, the eight kids (counted, eight) of Adventure were made helping background appearances except for the two of them who became members of the new five person team. They were later joined by one more kid, a past enemy, going to six, the same pattern as in Frontier. In Tamers, in a totally different world, where Digimon is “just” a card game, the new team goes down to three kids, and they spend much more time in the real world, compared to the first two seasons or Frontier. In that aspect, Tamers and Savers are very similar. This number three seems to be the best one, because in Xross Wars the team is again of three kids.

Digimon Frontier

Today in my lunch break i watched the last episode of Digimon Frontier, the fourth season in the saga of digital monsters. Although i was more or less familiar with the story, the characters and everything else from the time i was running Digimon Backup, i hadn’t watched the series itself until this week. Not so long ago i watched Digimon Savers, the fifth season, after that i simply had to watch Frontier too.

Frontier first aired eight years ago, in 2002, and for a painfully long time (until Savers came out in 2006) it was the last. I still recall how everyone was mourning Digimon already, with only a few fansites harboring some hope… (Go TK!)

Frontier was very different from the previous seasons in that the kid heroes didn’t have digimon companions—they themselves turned into digimon. They are invited to the Digital World by Ophanimon, for no less goal than to save it of course. It turns out this is once again a different DigiWorld from the previous series: this one is a planet with three moons, and lots of rails from Trailmons.

Since the creators of the series cut the digimon partners, the focus is much more on the interactions of the kids themselves. The only digimon accompanying them are Bokomon and Neemon, two ditzy digimon who are more of a source of comic relief than of any actual help to the characters.

The graphics are of course good, and the hybrid digivolutions are simply awesome. The character designs, dialogs and filler stories are oriented at the elementary school student audience, which is also often made fun of by Arbormon. (Wash your hands before eating!) It was also interesting when i realised that Takuya, the fiery leader boy has the same voice actor as Naruto.

Frontier is not the best Digimon series, but still it’s good. Check it out, if you’re over 15, for nostalgia, if you’re younger than that, then for many hours of true and exciting entertainment.

Digimon X-Evolution

Digital Monster X-Evolution is probably the only Digimon movie totally unrelated to any of the anime series. It has some connection to the Digimon Chronicle manga, with the x-antibody and Dorumon, but it’s a wild spinoff even from that storyline.

The main hero of the movie is that Dorumon, a purple furry dragon-like digimon. Quite cute and really desperate to protect a Tokomon entrusted to him by WarGreymon-X. The backstory goes like this: the digital world grew too big for the host computer Yggdrasil to handle, so it decided to cut it back, by deleting most of it using the X Program and saving only a few selected digimon to the new world. But there is a mysterious x-antibody that a few digimon (including Dorumon) have, which makes them immune to the X Program. Also, they look badass and are stronger than usual. But because apparently there are still too many digimon left, the Royal Knights (a few of the ones seen in Savers) are sent to dispatch of the x digimon. Who of course don’t want to be dispatched of…

The movie is done entirely in CG, which is unseen in any other digimon anime before or after X-Evolution. It looks great. The only thing not in X-Evolution that’s in all other digimon anime is humans. This exception in the digital world’s code is caught by digimon themselves. And although it wasn’t my first time seeing the movie (i would’ve sworn i wrote about it here in the blog, but either not or it’s been lost), i still shivered at Alphamon’s summoning of the Ultimate War Blade King Dragon Sword (究極戦刃王竜剣) (i wonder what he’s drawing in the air—according to japanese sources it’s a “magic circle”).

Great one. Watch it!

Ugyan minek. Viccelek természetesen, ma egész hamar ágyba kerülök, holnap is lesz lehetőségem kellemeseket aludni fergetegesen izgalmas óráimon, délutánra meg nincs más, csak tanulni a gitár részt a Jackson 5 számhoz – elég gyorsan kell elég nehéz ritmust játszani, de menni fog. Még ha egész hétvégén mást se fogok csinálni.

Ma elkezdtem a Stargate SG-1-et nézni, eddig nagyon tetszik, aztán majd ha eleget láttam belőle, írok is róla véleményt. Tíz évadnyi, úgyhogy ez elég tág időhatárokat szab. Főleg, hogy most a Savers ihletésére elkezdtem letölteni a negyedik Digimon évadot is (Frontier), amit eddig nem láttam, csak néhány részt németül, meg a filmeket. Őszintén remélem, hogy nem angol szinkronos lesz, bár ahogy nézem a Digimonos felhozatalt, azzal is beérem. Ahhoz képest, hogy “mindenki ismeri” kaliberű dologról van szó, alig van néhány feltöltő a torrenteknél, úgyhogy mindenhol ott kell maradnom visszaosztani.

Lényeg a lényeg, mostantól a marketing-kockázat-könyvelés trión kívül tanulni semmire nem kell majd, dolgozni is csak a japánnal. Előbbiekre viszont (marketingre és kockázattanra) el kell olvasni egy-egy könyvet és tanulni se árt (könyvelés). Sajnos arra (még mindig) képtelen vagyok, hogy a vizsgák fenyegetése nélkül egyáltalán nekiálljak tanulni.

Digimon Savers

I finished the fifth Digimon season, titled Savers in japanese (デジモンセイバーズ) and dubbed as Data Squad (always read it as Data Squid at first). I still remember when i first started watching it ages ago (in 2006, when it was airing), how i loved the design of virus Garurumon, but the most how happy i was that my beloved Digimon series are coming back for a new one after years of silence and news of cancelling. I was still doing Digimon Backup then…

Anyway, the series’ quite good. 48 episodes, with only a few feeling unnecessary. The graphics and the music are great as expected. Also, the story is totally Digimon. I haven’t seen more than three episodes (and all movies) of the fourth season, but i couldn’t really feel attached to it. Kids turning into Digimon themselves? Albeit that appears in Savers for a minor role too… I favor the good oldschool way from seasons 1-3, with the good sense that now everyone will achieve champion level, then ultimate, finally mega, then maybe some more boost to eliminate a godlike entity. Of course the main hero is a stupid but brave-hearted fight-loving guy, and his partner is a walking dragon type too (Agumon’s comeback), and once over the series, due to hate or uncontrolled emotions, the digimon goes berserk… It was the same in the first three seasons, and it’s no different now.

Beside a few illogical points, Digimon Savers is a great season of Digimon. I can’t wait to see the new season to come out this summer. I hope they won’t mess up.
