Now i’m off learning geography. Tomorrow i’ll be questioned about everything we learned in this half term. My grade depends on this, so i’ve to learn everything thoroughly. This would be my only four if i wouldn’t get a five.

Ooops.

You won’t believe what i’ve found: the backup of the previous blog. The last post is of 1st december 2006, but that’s still better than nothing, isn’t it? I’m thinking about how to install them back into this blog version… If i wanted to keep their old ids, then i’d have to change the ids of the new posts, which would be loads of updates in the categories table. There is a lot of posts in the backup, exactly 420, and (with this one) 53 in the blog… Any ideas on how to integrate them?

Thunderstorm

Late night there was such a thunderstorm, that … well, i’ve never seen such before. There was no rain, purely the electric rage of the clouds: usually rain follows almost each lightning, but not now. The wind blew like crazy and tried to tear off every single leaf of every single tree (luckily it failed to do so). It was really a battle in the skies, as the ancient ones would’ve said it. When there are such events, i can understand why people in the dark ages, thousand years before made up ideas of gods battling in the sky throwing lightning bolts at each other.

Just like shinigami (死神 death god) and their allies battle against arrancar (破面 lit rip mask) in Bleach. This last chapter was late a day, but at least this gave me a will to read the japanese raw version, which i managed to understand with the great help of an online dictionary. That Szayel Apollo is just crazy, i must say. Or he’s just too much like Ishida? And finally Nell Tu, my favourite appears once again! Since she appeared, i already know at least one event from the next chapter. I wonder though how will Kubo Tite do it exactly. I hope it won’t be late as this one was.

Layout switcher

The blog now has two available layouts as i added a black theme in addition to the blue one. You can choose which one you want to use with the links in the panel at the bottom of the left sidebar. A red theme and the register page will come soon too. Not to mention the advanced search, which i really want to do.

Sad

There was no Bleach yesterday… sad. I don’t know why. But at least i’ll get the manga tomorrow, which’ll guarantee half hour’s entertainment (yeah, the new manga chapters of Bleach and Naruto can entertain me almost as long as an anime episode). But if it’s like that, then it’s like that, i can’t do a thing about it…

Today i will work, really. I need to finish a page for a project site and also i want to do the request for the KiltAnt shop, so that tomorrow i’ll only need the catching script for that request. Though i haven’t completed even the first version, i’m already planning the second – just as i do with the blog: i haven’t finished this current version yet, but i already know, what will i change in the next one. Coding a reference script with all those nice advanced features can cause such changes in my ideas.

I will also knot a keychain, out of orange, brown and white threads. I think it’ll look as good as it seems now (after about an inch), it’s a bit extreme as there are parts of it that are separate from the main pattern, making it very nice but also very hard to make. I think i may post a pic about it later, maybe not, but this one is it. I’m too lazy to make up my own designs, it’s enough to figure out which colors look good together.

Anyway, did anyone realise beside me that there are hardly any words in english that end with an “a”? As of yet, i’ve only found “idea” and “trivia”, but both of these are ancient (greek – i’m not sure whether trivia is greek or latin) words. Any more?

Hause

I’ve been thinking about my future house now once again. Long ago i’ve been drawing plans of houses and such – i even considered becoming an architect (dropped idea: i don’t like physics enough to do that). But now, instead of drawing plans, i rather think about what would i really need. A few things i’m sure about: i’ll find a quiet place for it. I’m fed up with that i can’t sleep with open windows even in the warmest nights (like nowadays), because even in the middle of the night, the traffic is really annoying. Not to mention finding a place at a climate more comfortable than this one here. I would think of Iceland or some Japanese (or any) high mountains. I favour cold over warm: when it’s cold, i can still put on additional layers of cloths, but when it’s ’round 30 °C, what should i do? Drop my skin, or what?

Gummibär

Anyone remembers this one?

Idea

A seemingly good idea popped up just now. I will write about any interesting subject, that you request. Literally any. On the other hand, i decide, what is interesting and what not. Post your requests in comments.

Chaos

You know what, this chaos theory thing is very interesting. Yesterday, when i started reading a book about it, after the first few pages, i told my mom to warn me if i become too much of a theoretical physician. True, there are some expressions that i had to look up in a dictionary for their exact meaning (in chaos theory, where one millionth difference from the real value can cause huge differences in the outcome, i need to know each phrase very well), such as determinism. As of now, after the first chapter, the only thing i’m exactly sure now is that this will be very interesting, in addition to befriending the whole idea of chaos and such. Though i don’t really see a practical use to it (am i really such a practical mind?), it’s very interesting to finally read a precise description of that popular “butterfly-effect”, about which Ian Malcolm was talking in Jurassic Park (the first and original).

It also shows a problem (or at least now i think so): computers can’t really understand anything like a human can. If you see a Lorenz attractor, you immediately see some system in it, and can also tell it looks like a butterfly (this must be God’s joke, that it resembles the shape of the animal used in the most known example of this theory – that would be the butterfly effect i wrote about before and will write about later), but for a computer, it couldn’t be predicted, it couldn’t be totally calculated, it’s just a… something. We can see it as a whole, but a computer can only check one point at a time, and it works in a binary way, so that point is either there or not. It doesn’t matter if the point beside that one is indeed on the line. I wonder if a computer using some numeral system more complicated than binary would be possible or useful.

Anyway, the butterfly effect is… well, either look it up, or wait for me finishing the book, because i won’t write about it now.

Nothing, really

Today was a good day, i say. The beginning was dead funny to start with: i was waken by my mom before seven, but somehow i managed to fall asleep once again. This wouldn’t have been a troulesome thing, if i hadn’t decided that i want to attend the first lesson, which was held by the “language consultant”, who is our teacher, native in english and german (not to mention hungarian). I realised that something was not right at half past seven, but that’s usually too late to get to school… Somehow i still managed to get there and had a really good day in school. Spoke almost the whole first lesson, got an excellent mark in history for my test about the first world war, wrote three pages about the folksiness in the poetry of Petőfi Sándor in literature class as an argument essay, had a free period (more about this later), as my german teacher was absent, then wrote a test at physics class about astronomy and didn’t do a thing on biology. Went to library, learned japanese, came home, watched SC II gameplay demo video, did maths homework, learned the literature of the middle ages, and… and here i am.

You know, it’s dead hot here nowadays, but today at least the wind blew sometimes. For example, when i went to the hillside with a friend in the free period and consumed one *something* there. It was fun as the wind blew, it sang on the mouths of the half-emptied Heineken bottles. I never heard it sing like that before, and though i can produce a more intense sound like that myself, it’s nothing such natural, and thus peaceful.
