Today i was doing nothing when it occurred to me to check the Iron Maiden website for new tour dates. Maybe they’re coming to Japan anytime soon (i pretty much hope so).

At first i didn’t realize there was something amiss. I visited the tour dates page so many times that i can go there straight from link history. But then something… And i checked the front page. And i was close to fainting.

16th august 2010, the fifteenth Iron Maiden album, The Final Frontier will come out. I seriously can’t wait. To make things worse, just around then is the Sziget fest in Budapest, with an Iron Maiden live. I want to be there! (Just can’t, filthy money.)

Also, there is a new song called El Dorado, available for free. It’s on Youtube, and also available for download on the band’s website (though hurry up, only till the 21th, and sometimes it’s just down). Absolutely worth downloading.

It’s a great song. (Though i don’t like the new design for Eddy, but hey, i’m not looking at the artwork but listening to music, i mean, Music, like that, with capital M.) At first i wasn’t sure… it starts strange… Bruce’s vocals seemed powerless… But i was wrong. It’s just that was the first time. Now i’m in love with it. I can’t stop listening to it. And i want the new album badly. Come, august!

Két év

Megkésve bár (kemény négy nappal), de megemlékezek róla, hogy mostanában két éve, hogy regisztráltam a plörkre. Egész pontosan 2008 június 5-én írtam az első plörköt, az ottani statisztikák szerint. Azóta plörköt majd’ ötezret, hozzászólást meg tizenötezret írtam. Szép nagy számok, bár ha belegondolok, hogy amikor egyetemre fölkerültem Pestre mi zajlott a plörkön, annyira már nem is meglepő.

Tehát már lassan két éve lényegében folyamatosan írom oda az olyan apróbb részleteket, amikről blogposztot azért nem akarnék írni. Vicces is lenne minden nap egy jóreggelt és egy jóestét bejegyzés, közben még néhány megyekkajálni és néztemegyújepizódot változattal – dehát ez lenne a mikroblogok lényege.

Idén áprilisban, amikor nem volt netem, a mobilos változatát is volt szerencsém kipróbálni, és működik nagyjából rendben, legalábbis akkor működött, bár az én telefonomról képet feltölteni mondjuk nem lehetett. Azóta is előfordul alkalmanként, hogy ha nagyon nincs semmi jobb dolgom, mobilról benézek, de elég nehéz áttekinteni, plusz nyűgös görgetni, úgyhogy inkább csak ha írnivaló van.

Írnivaló pedig általában akad, akármi van.

昨日は日本ライブ主決定戦ツアーの最初のライブだった。場所は大阪にある江坂MUSEというライブハウスで、俺の彦根市から電車で約1時間半遠い。時間に合うために最後の2限をサボったが、電車が遅くなったし、場所も見つけられなかったので、ニューロティカがもうはじまったとこMUSEに着いた。

ニューロティカはおもしろかった。マシーンガンズと比べてニューロティカの演奏は全然激しくなくて、なんか年取ったハードロックの感じ。俺はじめてきいたが、楽しかった。

次はGARGOYLEだった。キバの歌声はアンチャンのより太くて、ときどききこえなかった。だが、やってた音楽はすっごくよかった。キバが出演したときびっくりした、そんなおじいさんなんでまだ赤い海賊服やってるんだろう…しかしその「おじいさんたち」はすごい精力的ライブをやってくれた。全然曲知らなくても楽しかった。子供歌みたいな「むすんでひらいて」って曲もあった（人の為－いいビデオみつけれなくて自分でアップした）。ただし、最後になんか変なハイルヒトラーみたいなポーズもあった…

Diet

I won’t start eating stuff that only rabbits are supposed to be eating (which reminds me of the Clancy Brothers song titled Water is alright in tay, where the chorus ends “water is alright in tay, (and) for fish and things that swim in rivers”), but i really have to think of what to eat. It’s all nice and fine i started going to gym and running quite a lot compared how much i was moving earlier, but i really don’t like how i’m constantly tired. It’s not easy to tune what i eat well. I don’t want to over-eat, i don’t want to feel hungry, and most of all i want to get rid of this constant feeling that i have to eat some chocolate or something sweet. I’ve been experimenting for a while for the right type and amount, but suggestions are still welcome.

Though i wonder if this is the reason why in western meals the courses are separated and sweets come last. Might not be accident.

Japán dolgok

Hétfőn próba után az egyik senpai csak úgy a kezembe nyomott egy getát, egy japán fapapucsot, hogy neszenekem használjam egészséggel. Úgyhogy tegnap este ki is próbáltam, és hát… Maradjunk annyiban, hogy nem a legkényelmesebb viselet. Nyilván nőknek könnyű megszokni, mert ők amúgy is képesek egyébként járásra alkalmatlan lábbelikben úgy rohangálni, hogy csak nézek… Tehát először is, nehéz benne járni. Különösen lépcsőzni. Másodszor, a szíja a mostanában trendi lábujjak között átmenős fajta, és mivel középen van (nagy logikával) rögzítve, tör. Egyébként poén, mert getában már egy fejjel vagyok magasabb mindenkinél.

A másik egy mentolos cukorka, vagy nem is tudom igazából mi, a Mintia Dry hard. Lehetne akár die hard is… A mentol része nem erős, semmi különös. Nem is értettem, miért mondta mzs/x senpai, hogy ébren tart – nem szúrtam ki a csomagoláson, hogy koffeintartalmú. Úgyhogy tegnap este tíz körül amikor végetért a koncert (amiről majd később bővebben) bekaptam egyet (egy apró szemet), és csodálkoztam, hogy nem bírtam elaludni a vonaton hazafelé. De ez még semmi – még akkor is ébren tartott, amikor négy órával később aludni mentem volna. Ennyire egy dupla eszpresszó sem tud megütni… Frissebb nem leszek tőle, de aludni nem tudok.

I don’t know where i stumbled upon Kno. First a bad point: their search optimization is simply terrible. Their official website is not even on the first page of Google when searching for “kno”.

As for the device itself, i like it. I loved Microsoft’s Courier, and Kno is quite similar. It’s a double touchscreen tablet computer book. I write book because it’s intended to be one: the purpose is to reform the textbook market. It might work, especially since they’re testing with university students. Which makes me wonder, none of the students complained about its size? Okay that a huge screen is good and stuff, but with double 14″ screens it’s not compact anymore. I think it might be the biggest and heaviest tablet. But at least that’s the only weak point i could mention for now. I’m really looking forward to the tests of some final thing, because what was shown at D8 wasn’t even close to complete. It’s running linux, which gives me hope it might be used in ways different from what it’s originally designed for (eg having a keyboard app on one screen or playing games on it).

疲れた

今日は朝から晩までずっと止まらなかった。朝遅く起きて、12時までギターを練習して、午後は部活だった。つまり起きてから4時半まで飯の時間を除いてずっと練習していた。それだけでも疲れた…

しかし月曜だから、運動もやらなきゃ。だからトレーニング室へ行って1時間ごろ練習していた。それ終わって、グランドで1キロ走って帰ってきた。

シャワー浴びて、髪の毛洗って、日本語宿題をやって、今日本語もう書けないほど疲れてる…

でもよかった。

Three days

It all started on friday morning. I woke up a bit later than usual so i didn’t have time for breakfast, got to class just a bit late, as usual, had more tests in the PE class (grip strength, sit-ups, flexibility, jumping and shuttle running) with relatively good but still unsatisfactory results (meaning although i got a score equal to a C grade, it’s still loads better than most of the japanese). It was fun, i’m starting to consider PE a class with meaning, which is again funny considering it’s totally unrelated to economy.

Had lunch, a terribly boring class and a fun japanese lesson. I wonder if the はば of 幅 and of 阻む is related or just accident. Considering both mean something like range… But the teacher says they’re probably unrelated. (It baffles me how little japanese care about their language…)

Then i went to buy a D-string and a pick for my guitar, former because the one on the guitar snapped, latter because the one i’m using is too easy to slip from my fingers. Then i helped with cleaning the garden of the dorm. And the fun started here.

Először is, volt ma egy órám. Szombaton. Nem lenne ez különösebben gond, ha azt mondják, hogy elmaradt egyszer, be kell pótolni. Vagy valami hasonló. De se szó, se beszéd közlik emailben, hogy ott kell lenni. Meg a kurva anyátok. Ráadásul még ha valami új lett volna, de nem. Beraktak egy előadást az egyetemi könyvtárról szombatra, az egyetemi könyvtárról, amiről legalább egyszer ha nem kétszer volt eddig előadás/orientáció. És a manusz még komolyan is vette, hogy az az ötven ember a háromszázból síri csöndben hallgassa és jegyzeteljen. A kollektív tudás így is győzött. (Magyarul tizen csak sikerült összehoznunk a válaszokat az óra végi kérdéseire.) Gondoltam megkérdezem, hogy szolgál a kedves édesanyja egészsége, de nem hiszem, hogy értette volna.

A másik, hogy nem lehet normális marhahúst kapni. pörköltet akartam ma csinálni, de a Beishiában csak yakinikuhoz felvagdalt marha volt, a szomszéd hentesnél meg hétezer (!) (!!!) jent kérnek el egy olyan darab marhahúsért, ami a Hanamasában ötszáz jen lett volna. Azért néha tényleg hiányzik Tokió. Így nem éppen pörkölt lesz belőle, de ehető (remélem). Soknak mindenképp sok.

Ennyi a dühöngésből, a többi már jobb lesz.

Digimon X-Evolution

Digital Monster X-Evolution is probably the only Digimon movie totally unrelated to any of the anime series. It has some connection to the Digimon Chronicle manga, with the x-antibody and Dorumon, but it’s a wild spinoff even from that storyline.

The main hero of the movie is that Dorumon, a purple furry dragon-like digimon. Quite cute and really desperate to protect a Tokomon entrusted to him by WarGreymon-X. The backstory goes like this: the digital world grew too big for the host computer Yggdrasil to handle, so it decided to cut it back, by deleting most of it using the X Program and saving only a few selected digimon to the new world. But there is a mysterious x-antibody that a few digimon (including Dorumon) have, which makes them immune to the X Program. Also, they look badass and are stronger than usual. But because apparently there are still too many digimon left, the Royal Knights (a few of the ones seen in Savers) are sent to dispatch of the x digimon. Who of course don’t want to be dispatched of…

The movie is done entirely in CG, which is unseen in any other digimon anime before or after X-Evolution. It looks great. The only thing not in X-Evolution that’s in all other digimon anime is humans. This exception in the digital world’s code is caught by digimon themselves. And although it wasn’t my first time seeing the movie (i would’ve sworn i wrote about it here in the blog, but either not or it’s been lost), i still shivered at Alphamon’s summoning of the Ultimate War Blade King Dragon Sword (究極戦刃王竜剣) (i wonder what he’s drawing in the air—according to japanese sources it’s a “magic circle”).

Great one. Watch it!
